Capcom's Next Fighting Game Series

The creator of the Street Fighter series recently left Capcom. However, that doesn't mean the fighting game series that started it all is over and done with. A new Street Fighter title is in the works over at Capcom. Contrary to popular belief, development has just begun on the title, with an estimated Summer 2006 release date. So all of those rumors you heard about Street Fighter IV coming two years ago, were completely false. Very little info is known about the new title, other than the fact that it will remain 2D.

Après Strikers 1945 I & II, l'éditeur japonais Taito a dévoilé les autres shoot'em up dans son anthologie Psikyo Shooting Collection, dédiée au célèbre spécialiste du genre. Sengoku Ace & Sengoku Blade formeront le Volume 2 de la série, tandis que Sol Divide & Dragon Blaze seront compilés dans le Volume 3. Il n'y a pas encore de dates de sortie, mais les amateurs de shoot'em up peuvent déjà commencer à remplir leur cochon-tirelire flambant neuf. Au sujet de Strikers 1945 I & II, dont la sortie est prévue pour le 5 août prochain au Japon, Taito a précisé que les premières éditions du jeu seraient accompagnées d'un DVD super play où des grands malades finissent les jeux sans utiliser le moindre crédit.

Comme nous vous l'avions indiqué mercredi, Dead or Alive Ultimate sortira le 7 octobre prochain au Japon avec le disque bonus que voici. Ce DIGITAL VENUS 2004, rempli entre autres de fonds d'écran, de sons et de bonus pour son bureau de PC, sera offert contre toute réservation du jeu dans les boutiques. Dead or Alive Ultimate est une compilation des deux premiers Dead or Alive subtilement remixés, et surtout jouable en ligne. Pour les dates de sortie américaines et européennes, il faudra attendre.

tu lis vraiment pas mes news toi !!! j'ai déjà newser sur le site et sur le forum sur la pochette coréenne hier après midi

pis bon la news sur DOAU est vraiment dénu(d)ée d'intérêt, vraiment devenu trop commercial ce jeu, franchement c'est dû n'importe quoi, tout les gamins de 13ans vont se jeter sur ce jeu pour voir des meufs en bikini se tapper dessus!

C'est con! moi j'ai vraiment beaucoup aimer le 1er, le 2ème proposait des graphiques magnifique mais les version console proposait un mode de contre trop simple! je trouve le système assez mal foutu tout de même, puisqu'on peut effectuer un contre en plein milieu d'un combos, au final ça donne un jeu très bourin! le 3 était une évolution du 2, et après c'est devenu n'imp' avec DOAX... bref le gameplay est passé à la trap, et ont à l'impression que Tecmo s'attarde beaucoup plus sur les nouveaux costumes que les héroïnes porteront

Get your hands on two upcoming games.

July 21, 2004 - Sammy Studios announced today that it will be showing off two of their upcoming titles at Comi-Con this week. Spy Fiction will take a stab at the ever-popular stealth-action genre while Guilty Gear Isuka will serve up 2D anime-style fighting.

Spy Fiction features the character design of Renji "Range" Murata (Last Submarine No.6) and sees you as a phantom operative in an underground intelligence agency. The game will follow the exploits of Billy Bishop and Sheila Crawford, two agents trying to stop a terrorist group from detonating a doomsday biotech weapon. Spy Fiction will introduce the ability to assume the identity of any character a players may encounter in the game
Guilty Gear Isuka will further expand the Guily Gear series by offering 4-player simultaneous fighting, allowing for 2-on-2, 3-on-1 and 2-player co-op battles. The game also boasts a new side-scrolling action game called Boost Mode, among other new modes. It also comes packed with new characters and new fight arenas.
Look for Spy Fiction to hit store shelves September 2004. Guilty Gear Isuka should hit retailers sometime during the fall.

The second has Sanvein, a very decent stage-based 3D shooter (with jumping!), and another obscure action-puzzle.

Official X-Box Magazine's September issue has reached subscribers, and it includes a look at bios for several characters from Mortal Kombat: Deception, including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Baraka, Raiden, and newcomers Shujinko and Darrius! The newly revealed character bios follow:
Darrius: Leader of the Resistance in the Realm of Order, Darrius lives a life in the shadows. His ambition is to overthrow the oppressive regime that strangles freedom. To some he is a hero... but to others he is nothing more than a terrorist.
Shujinko: Long before Liu Kang had won the Mortal Kombat tournament in Earthrealm, Shujinko had begun his quest to retrieve the Kamidogu for the Elder Gods. His journey took him to many realms where he met many experienced warriors.
Scorpion: In his haste to confront his nemesis, Quan Chi, he was ambushed by two Oni and cast into a powerful soulnado. He would have been torn apart by the souls trapped there had he not escaped into the Void. In this place, he first set eyes on the fabled Elder Gods.
Sub-Zero: While still in Outworld, the Lin Kuei Grand Master, Sub-Zero, discovers the secret of his true heritage - the source of his mastery over cold temperatures. This discovery will aid him in the fight to destroy the Dragon King's vile and bloodthirsty Tarkatan hordes.
Baraka: Baraka's Tarkatan race is a mutated hybrid of Netherealm and Outworld species. A loyal warrior, Baraka faithfully serves his new master, the Dragon King, by preoccupying Outworld opposition with his Tarkatan hordes, the backbone of the Dragon King's terrifying army.

Suite à une étude marketting, Elsemi nous sort une version de Nebula M2 avec un nouveau nom pour faire plus classe. With Mortal Kombat: Deception still two months from release, it comes as quite a surprise that we are reporting on the first news of Mortal Kombat 7! According to a statement by Midway Games CEO David Zucker at the RBC Capital Markets North American Technology Conference in California, the next chapter in the series is underway. From the webcast:
We’re making Mortal Kombat 7. We’ll have a PS3 SKU and an Xbox 2 SKU and we’ll have a wireless SKU.

Sega dévoile ses résultats (jf)

Sega a annoncé au titre de son premier trimestre un bénéfice net en baisse de 51% à 932 millions de yens (8,40 millions de dollars), contre 1,89 milliard à la même période de l'exercice précédent.
Le chiffre d'affaires a reculé de 1,4% à 41,8 milliards de yens.
La société attribue cette détérioration aux fortes baisses de prix du marché nord-américain, où elle réalise 40% de ses ventes, ainsi qu'aux coûts représentés par l'ouverture de nouvelles surfaces de ventes.
Elle considère néanmoins que ses résultats trimestriels sont conformes à ses prévisions et, pour l'ensemble de l'exercice, continue de prévoir un bénéfice net en baisse d'environ 9%.
Sega doit fusionner en octobre avec Sammy, qui a également publié jeudi des résultats très différents. La société a en effet annoncé un bénéfice trimestriel net en hausse de 629% à 21,4 milliards de yens.

Et si on émule l'Intellivision, c'est sans doute parce qu'on aime se souvenir avec nostalgie des jeux qui étaient disponibles dessus. Les Américains pourront cet automne acheter une compilation de 60 jeux Intellivision, une compil accompagnée d'extras comme des pubs Intellivision, des jeux jamais commercialisés, des interviews de développeurs sur cette machine.
