Une partie des 8 personnages qui seront disponibles :As some of you may know, we’re developing a game from the series hajime no ippo, and since we’re not posting anything about it and you guys seems a little bit lost, we are going to create a section about the development process.
I’ll try to make it short :
The project has a year so far, and i’ve made a good part of it using an freeware engine.
Last year it came to my knowledge by a friend that a programer was interested on transporting the game to XNA with would give us more possibilities.
Since them we’re transporting it before we continue.
The biggest motive on the change is that the project would be more serious and i’d leave the programing for someone who knows what he’s doing, doing so the game would become more professional and i would be in charge only of the animations and graphics.
All this change of plans and people entering the project slowed things down a bit, not to mention our regular jobs.
So i’ll use this space to answer some FAQ:
* The game has no release date so far, since we’re changing it and we’ve got more people on the project
* The previous MUGEN platform is no longer in use
* XNA will work on pcs, like the old one
* The videos are from the previous platform, so they wont have the programing that will be featured on the final product
* So far we have 8 characters, 1 boss and 2 hidden
* The game will cover the 1st season of the anime (with some parts of the 2nd)
* We’ve talked about the game modes already, but since we have a lot to do, we won’t go there right now
* The “mirror” effect on the videos are going to be fixed. The names on the boxers wont’ get mirrored, but i won’t redo the sprites so the character won’t be southpaw
I think that would be all.
