I've recently bought a HOTD4 (rev B) with a lindbergh yellow that's malfunctioning.
Currently it goes until the loading screen and then stays on a white screen.
Sometimes it flashes to an error saying something about some insmode error caused by invalid IO or IRQ parameters (i have no idea what that means).
I don't know if this might be useful information, but the JVS PCI board goes from solid orange to blinking green after a few seconds after turning the machine on
I did manage to get into the bios but the IDE drive is never read for whatever reason even tho it's plugged in and given power, so my idea was to switch to an ssd with multiboot (i only care about hotd4 honestly).
my question is, do i need a blank cf so i can flash the cf files onto it or i can just make a copy from my current one and then write to it?
and can i use the PIC i already have or do i need some other kind of tool?
P.S. sorry if my post is in english and not in french, but the only other forums i've found either require a donation to make posts or waiting for an admin to approve a new account (and i've already been waiting for a few days).
Also, I'm extremely new to the arcade scene, including Lindy, so please, explain everything in detail and if possible with some pictures.
Thank you in advance, I hope to be able to play one of my favourite games again with real hardware
